Ethan A. Plaue is a literary and intellectual historian of media, science, and technology. His research foregrounds the interpretative devices that American writers from the colonial era to the nineteenth century used to make sense of their relation to others and to the world.
He received his Ph.D. in English with a Certificate in Media and Cinema Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
Ethan’s articles have appeared or are forthcoming in American Literature, Discourse: Journal for Theoretical Studies in Media and Culture, and PMLA.
